This annual fall festival celebrates the rich natural resources and wide variety of waterfowl species in the Chesapeake Bay region. Shop world class paintings, sculpture, carvings, photography, collectible decoys and sporting gear. Additional activities include calling contests, stunt dog and fly fishing demonstrations, and childrens activities. The festive atmosphere is topped by great food, beer and wine tastings, and live music.

Kinetic Sculpture Race

The American Visionary Art Museum hosts the East Coast Kinetic Sculpture Race Championship on the shore of Baltimore’s Harbor in Maryland. The race features human powered works of art racing 14 miles— mostly on pavement, but also through the mud and sand of the Chesapeake Bay.

IRONMAN Maryland

The waterways and scenic roads of Cambridge, along the Eastern Shore of Maryland, are the ideal setting for hosting IRONMAN Maryland. This triathlon competition features participants swimming 2.4 miles in the Choptank River, cycling 112-miles through Dorchester County and the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge, and running 26.2 miles of rural roads.
